Overview

A professional organization serving private audiovisual media

Founded in 2008, ARTI brings together licensed private radio and television operators in Morocco. It represents its members in dialogue with public authorities, the audiovisual regulator and professional partners.

Who we are

Since 2008, building a shared voice for Morocco’s private audiovisual sector

ARTI (Association des Radios et des Télévisions Indépendantes) brings together licensed private radio and television operators in Morocco. Founded in 2008, it represents its members in dialogue with public authorities, the audiovisual regulator and professional partners.

Its mandate encompasses freedom of audiovisual communication, media pluralism, linguistic and cultural diversity, and the long-term viability of private broadcasting.

ARTI also enables its members to address shared challenges together, from audience measurement and professional development to keeping their services accessible and visible as distribution evolves.

01

Coming together

ARTI was founded in December 2008, two years after Morocco’s audiovisual landscape opened to private operators. Its members created a shared professional body to represent the realities of private audiovisual media and make a lasting contribution to pluralism.

02

Renewing the organization

In 2025, ARTI began an institutional renewal: refreshed governance, updated statutes and internal rules, three standing committees and a consolidated action plan. This structured member expertise around the sector’s economic, regulatory and technological transformation.

03

Establishing permanent delivery capacity

Since May 2026, a permanent executive office has sustained ARTI’s work, delivered the roadmap and led projects under the authority of its elected bodies. ARTI now combines associative governance, professional expertise and operational capacity.

Our vision

A pluralistic, independent, professional, innovative and economically viable media landscape.
