What Radioplayer Maroc means
Radioplayer develops technology for radio, including applications and services for in-car systems and connected devices. The Moroccan project is preparing a shared way to access stations, helping listeners recognise a station, find its programme and start its audio stream through a compatible interface.
Preparation covers streams, station names, logos, descriptions and programme information supplied by broadcasters. Integration and testing come before launch. Availability on a device will depend on the services deployed and their compatibility.
An identifiable station, whatever the point of access
Listening to a station can begin on its website, continue in an app and move to the interface of a vehicle or another connected device. Listeners need to find the station they want, recognise its brand and access a reliable stream.
This presence involves several elements: the station’s name, logo, description, programme information and listening links. Their quality contributes to discovery and continuity of the experience.
Identify the station
Name, logo, description and programme information.
Support reliable access
Consistent audio streams and service data.
Find the programmes
Through compatible connected interfaces.
A shared approach serving each station
A memorandum of understanding signed by ARTI and Radioplayer has initiated preparations for Radioplayer Maroc. The project aims to organise a shared presence for radio stations in connected environments and make their programmes easier to access.
The shared work concerns distribution resources and the quality of the information that identifies services. Each station retains its identity, editorial responsibility and control over its content.
The ambition is to make Moroccan offerings easier to find and use, taking account of the requirements of different compatible interfaces.
Data and stream quality at the heart of the project
Preparations bring together brand information, programme data, listening streams and operating arrangements. These elements need to work coherently so that listeners recognise the right station and access the programme they expect.
This joint work connects a technical question with an editorial and economic concern: maintaining an identifiable relationship between radio stations and their audiences in new listening journeys.
A place for Moroccan radio in international discussions
ARTI’s participation in Radio Ready for Connected Cars extends this approach into professional dialogue. The initiative focuses on radio being visible and easy to access in connected vehicles.
Radioplayer Maroc and Radio Ready thus contribute to two complementary aims: preparing a shared distribution tool and representing radio’s interests in discussions about the development of listening interfaces.
